Alvin Xiong receive Master of Fine Arts Degree at Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland University in 2015. He has been trained professional and gained his Bachelors's Degree majoring in Oil Painting in the top art institute Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China in 2003. Alvin also has more than 22 years experience in both art making and art education field. Currently, he is still learning new technologies to challenge himself as a professional artist and art tutor.
As a well-known art tutor, Alvin’s students have won several art awards in New Zealand and internationally, in the mean while, as a professional contemporary artist, Alvin’s artwork have been exhibited, awarded, collected both nationally and internationally.
- 2010 & 2011, He organised and run the workshops of Old Master Painting Techniques for academy students and professional artist in overseas plus visiting the top museums in Europe to get a further deep study in front of the physical master pieces, which becomes a very popular and successful class both in academic and public environment in China. These classes not only benefit art students, art lovers but also the professional artists.
- 2012, start offering private art lesson both in China & New Zealand.
- 2018, After more than 8 years teaching art classes and participating different art activities both nationally and internationally, Alvin Xiong decided to collaborate with different well established art centers around Auckland region for running Art Classes and Workshops, such as Uxbridge Art & Cultural Center (East), Mairangi Art Center (North), Lake House Art Center (North), Studio One (CBD), Nathan Homestead (South), etc..
* In these art center based on going classes, Alvin will focus on teaching realistic drawing and oil painting techniques. All the classes include sharing experience, summary the tips from the difficult theories, quick demonstration, etc.. In the class, any art question would be always welcome and would be clearly explained until the student understand the purpose of the technique or the theory.
-2020, Due to the high international demand, Alvin Art Class start offering private online art class.
-2022, Start offering Digital Art Class in private lesson.
-2023, Start offering AIGC Art Class in private lesson (Artificial Intelligence).
